FAQ's

Are Floor-Barre™ or Modern Jazz Dance appropriate for me if I have never studied dance before?

Yes! Both series are designed and appropriate for absolute beginner adults.

Are Floor-Barre™ or Modern Jazz Dance appropriate for me if I have danced before, but not recently?

Yes! Both series are designed and appropriate if you are returning to dance- whether it's been a few months or many years.

Do I need a lot of space in my home to take the class online?
No. Both series are designed for smaller spaces.  You will need an average size room (with ideally 8ft. x 8ft. of open area) in order to lie down for
Floor-Barre™, or to stand and move in Modern Jazz.

What do I wear for classes and do I need any props?
Comfortable workout apparel is best.
Tank tops, t shirts, yoga pants or leggings are all appropriate.

Tighter leggings or yoga pants are required for Floor Barre, in order to see the alignment of the legs.
Socks should also be worn for Floor-Barre™, so that you can slide the feet along the floor to activate certain muscles.
Ballet shoes are not required.

Yoga mats are not required, however if your floor surface is hard, you may consider trying a mat for Floor-Barre™ since you will be lying down for a majority of the class.

Can I record the class?
No. We require that you do not record any portion of the class. They are solely intended for group practice under the direct supervision of the instructor in real time.

What if I have to miss a class?
You will have a chance to review and get caught up on any missed material in subsequent lessons. Each class builds upon the last, so that you have a clear progression of learning and advancing over the 6 week period.
